WHO WE ARE

Our Beliefs

Grace is for All
We believe in God's unconditional love and grace for everyone, regardless of background, identity, or where they are on their faith journey. We affirm that God's grace is inclusive and transformative.

Social Justice is Central
As followers of Jesus, we are called to actively engage in creating a more just and compassionate world.
This means working for racial equality, economic justice, climate action, and standing with marginalized communities.

Inclusive of All People
We celebrate the diversity of God’s creation and believe all people, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or ability, are beloved children of God. We advocate for full inclusion of LGBTQ+ persons in the church and society.

Open to Questioning and Exploration
Faith is a journey, and we believe it’s okay to ask questions, explore, and wrestle with doubts. We encourage critical thinking, deep discussions, and seeking truth together in a safe, non-judgmental space.

Faith and Action Go Hand-in-Hand
We believe that faith isn’t just about what we believe—it’s about what we do. We are called to live out the teachings of Jesus by caring for others, serving our communities, and advocating for the well-being of all.

A Global Community of Believers
The United Methodist Church is a global family, united by a commitment to love God and love our neighbors.
We embrace the diversity of cultures and traditions and strive for unity in the midst of our differences.

Justice and Reconciliation
We are committed to racial reconciliation and creating a world where all people can live in peace with dignity.
We believe that healing comes through listening, learning, and making amends.

Environmental Stewardship
As caretakers of God's creation, we believe in the sacred responsibility to protect the environment.
We advocate for sustainability, conservation, and urgent action to address climate change.

A Life of Prayer and Service
We cultivate a deep life of prayer, worship, and spiritual growth, while also being actively engaged in our communities, serving others, and working toward peace and justice.

Hope for the Future
We believe in the power of hope and transformation. Despite the challenges and injustices in the world,
we hold onto the promise that God is at work making all things new.

At the Tulsa Wesley, we believe that all people are beloved children of God. No matter your background, identity, or journey, you are welcome here. We offer a space where you can explore your faith, ask questions, and grow in community without fear of judgment. Everyone—regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, ability, or belief—is embraced and valued.

Come as you are. You belong. You are loved.
